Omagh Riding for Disabled is dedicated to providing a range of services to individuals with disabilities. We offer therapeutic riding lessons, educational programs, and various fundraising activities. Our organisation is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for riders of all abilities. We aim to build community engagement, increase awareness, and raise funds to support our mission.

Riding Lessons for those with Disabilities

Our riding lessons are designed to improve physical strength, coordination, and confidence for individuals with disabilities. Through the joy of horseback riding, participants experience a sense of freedom and accomplishment.

Young Striders

Building confidence connection, and control one stride at a time.

  • Structured interaction with horses for sensory engagement.

  • Improve physical coordination and balance.

  • Boost emotional development and self-esteem.

  • Fun, safe sessions for children with disabilities.

  • Takes place on a wednesday night

  • Participants must have a registered disability or waiting an assessment

  • Must be from the Tyrone and Fermanagh Area

Changing Paces

Teen Saturday Club

Empowering young riders with disabilites to grow, learn and lead.

  • A safe, supportive space for teens to grow and heal.

  • Build confidence and trust through horse care and riding.

  • Learn life skills like teamwork and responsibility.

  • Make friends and discover the calming power of horses and improve their ability to self regulate.

  • Participants must have a registered disability or waiting an assessment

  • Must be from the Tyrone and Fermanagh Area

Tea With Sugar

A new initiative featuring Sugar, a gentle elderly white welsh mountain pony.

​

This program will bring older residents with disabilites together for tea and the opportunity to groom and spend time with Sugar, encouraging social interaction, reducing isolation, and promoting wellbeing.

Fundraising Activities

Community Engagement

Arena Rental

Our arena is available for rental, providing a versatile space for equestrian events, clinics, and competitions. By utilising our facilities, you directly contribute to the sustainability of our programs and services.
